The Five Stages

Each stage has a clear purpose. We'll tell you what we're evaluating and what to expect — before you start.

Stage 01 Async 1–3 business days

Application Review

Every application is read by a human — no automated filters. We look at what you've built, what problems you've solved, and how you think about your work. A cover note matters here: tell us what you'd build at Glitter Technology Ventures and why this role is the right one for you right now.

What we're looking for:
Evidence that you've shipped work that required real judgment
Alignment between your background and the role's core responsibilities
A clear sense of why you want to work here specifically
Selected candidates are invited to Stage 2. Everyone receives a response — no ghosting.
Stage 02 30 minutes Video call

Intro Call

A conversation — not a quiz. You'll speak with a founder or a senior team member. We want to understand who you are, what you've been working on, and what energizes you professionally. We'll also give you a clear picture of what the role actually looks like week-to-week and what success looks like in the first 90 days.

What we're assessing:
Communication clarity and how you think out loud
Depth of understanding in your stated areas of expertise
Genuine curiosity — do you ask good questions?
Same-day scheduling often available. Bring your questions — this is for you too.
Stage 03 3–4 hours Take-home

Skills Assessment

A focused, role-specific task done on your own time. This is where we see how you actually work — not how well you perform under artificial time pressure in a video call. Use any tools, references, or AI assistants you'd reach for on the job. We care about the output and whether you understand what you built.

For Engineers

Build a small working system or extend an existing one. We'll define scope clearly — typical effort is 3 hours of focused work.

For Non-Engineers

A structured analysis, written proposal, or strategy brief relevant to your domain. We're looking for depth of thinking, not length.

What we're assessing:
Ability to make rapid, defensible progress on an open-ended problem
Whether you understand what you built — not just that it works
Judgment about what to cut, what to prioritize, and why
You set your own deadline — typically within 5 days of receipt. No trick questions or puzzles.
Stage 04 2 hours Virtual or In-Person
Key Stage

Onsite Interview

Two hours with the team — the most substantive part of our process. You'll meet two or three people, each focused on a different dimension: technical depth, collaboration, and culture fit. This is done via video call or in person at our Nagpur office — your choice, or we'll align based on geography.

Block 1 · 45 min
Technical Deep Dive

Walk through your assessment submission. Defend your decisions. We'll push into tradeoffs and edge cases to understand how you think when it gets hard.

Block 2 · 45 min
Domain & Systems

A structured discussion on your area of expertise — AI, growth, security, research, or partnerships. We'll ask about real situations where your judgment shaped outcomes.

Block 3 · 30 min
Meet the Team

Open conversation with a founder. We talk about what Glitter Technology Ventures is building long-term and whether this is the right chapter for you. Your questions drive this one.

What we're assessing:
Mastery of your domain — can you go deep when it matters?
Collaboration instincts — how do you handle disagreement and ambiguity?
Values alignment — do we have a shared definition of good work?
Virtual or In-Person — You Choose

Remote candidates complete this over video call. Candidates based in or near Nagpur are welcome to join us in person at our office at 301 Vidharbh, Azamshah Layout. Either format carries equal weight in our evaluation.

Stage 05 24–48 hours Decision

Offer

After the onsite, we debrief as a team and move fast. If we want to move forward, you'll hear from us within 24–48 hours with a written offer that covers compensation, equity, start date, and role scope. No drawn-out committee reviews, no offer-then-reschedule games.

What the offer includes:
Base compensation with clarity on review cadence
Equity participation where applicable
Proposed start date — we can often accommodate within the week
A direct line to the hiring manager for any questions before you sign
Even if we pass, you'll receive a short note explaining our reasoning — not a form rejection.

Our Hiring Principles

These are the rules we hold ourselves to — not just for candidates, but for how we run the process internally.

Speed is respect

We move quickly at every stage. Slow feedback is disrespectful of your time. If we're interested, you'll know it — and fast.

🔎

We evaluate real work

No gotcha puzzles, no LeetCode sprints, no whiteboard theater. We evaluate the kind of judgment you'll need to succeed in the actual role.

📣

No black boxes

We'll always tell you what stage you're in, what's coming next, and where you stand. If we're not moving forward, you'll know why.

🤝

It goes both ways

Every stage is a chance for you to evaluate us too. We encourage hard questions about our culture, roadmap, team dynamics, and challenges.

🌍

Geography is not a filter

Our process works equally well for remote candidates worldwide. Virtual onsites carry exactly the same weight as in-person ones.

🔁

Not now ≠ never

If the timing isn't right, we'll keep your application on file. Strong candidates who apply early sometimes become our first calls when a new role opens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I complete the entire process remotely?

Yes — the process is fully remote-compatible. The onsite interview is conducted over video call for candidates not based in Nagpur. Remote candidates are evaluated identically to in-person ones.

How long does the full process take end to end?

From application submission to offer, most candidates complete the process in 1–2 weeks. The primary variable is scheduling the onsite. We're flexible and can compress timelines for candidates with competing offers.

Can I use AI tools during the skills assessment?

Yes. Use the same tools you'd use on the job — including AI coding assistants. We care about the quality of your output and whether you understand what you've built, not whether you used help to build it.

What if I'm not available for an in-person onsite in Nagpur?

That's completely fine — the virtual format is the default for all remote candidates. If you're ever in Nagpur, you're always welcome to visit the office, but it has no bearing on hiring decisions.

I applied before — should I apply again?

If you've grown since your last application and believe you're a stronger fit now, absolutely apply again. Mention your prior application in your cover note — context helps. We don't penalize re-applicants.

What happens after I receive an offer?

You'll get a written offer with a reasonable deadline to decide. We're happy to answer any follow-up questions and can arrange a final call with the hiring manager or a team member if it helps you make your decision confidently.
